Our Transport team is a fun, hardworking and likeminded team of transport specialist, working towards contributing to a safer community through the maintenance and management of Whakats roading and transport, and we are seeking a Projects Adviser to support the team by advising on projects ranging from bridges to retaining structures. About this role | K tnei tranga mahi Responsibilities include; Designing, administering, supervising and reporting on projects including reviewing design and construction drawings, contract documentation, technical specifications, schedules of quantities and cost estimations. Provide advice and recommendations to improve compliance and the efficiency of projects.

Use inspection and asset data to effectively build forward works programmes Manage consultants and/or contractors ensuring that completion is on time, on budget and to the required standard. Build and maintain successful and productive relationships with diverse key stakeholders such as with local community groups. Council officers and other interested parties .

About you | Ko ng pmanawa u To be successful in this role you will have; An understanding of relevant legislation, codes and standards, as well as proven construction experience. Technical competency to understand and produce engineering designs, drawings and reports. Demonstrated experience in project management, contract management and stakeholder management including financial and contract issuing experience.

High level communication and relationship management experience. Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes within set timeframe and budgets. Knowledge of NZTA Bridge specifications, or a willingness to learn.

RAMM Asset management database experience would be beneficial.
